I read somewhere people know who they are and who they want to be from a very early age. "When I grow up", we discover who we are in play. I knew. I recall the love and commitment I had in play and my love for the roles I have dedicated my professional career to in the Early Years Sector.

The introduction of the Core Funding and National Childcare Scheme has been long awaited and is very welcome. The funding, and contracts have their challenges which are common to many services and specific to a few depending on the size and number of your business/es. We have supported services in reshapinging their business model to ensure sustainability and provided steps by step instruction and support to complete the project.
Two common challenges we identified in services as an EY Consultants and a Lecturer in the ECEC Degree programe is

A lack of Managerial and room Leadership experience due to a level of qualification required to ensure fiscal responsibility in a service. This is causing employment relation (ER) issues in care rooms, and a lack of staff retention.
2.
A lack of Management and Leadership training. It is compulsory to ensure adequate training and support is provided to Managers.
Managerial burnout and exhaustion is real. Once this sets in, it is hard for a manager to find their love and commitment to play and their career. ADConsultancy is here to support services in all areas required.
ADConsultancy provides an understanding of Human Resource Management (HRM) through in person training sessions.
Legislative compliance in employment rights correlates with many sections of the The Childcare Act (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016 inspected by TUSLA; for example Regulations 9, 10, 11, 25, 26, 27, 28, all other Regulations are subject to an employees job description. Getting this practice and mindset right reduces stress and burnout, and demonstrates a culture of fairness for employees.
