Story time, I know we all like gist!ππ
So a few years ago, I was travelling and I booked an airline which I've never flown before. (Side-note: never forget to read reviews before making a purchase!!)
First flight was delayed by over an hour! In flight, we had to repeat a request to the flight attendants multiple times before they actually responded to us.
When we got to the country of transit(we had to get a transit visa), the staffs at the airport was extremely rude and unhelpful. They couldn't be bothered to help clarify what we needed to do or where we needed to go to get the visa sorted and they were just passing us from one person to another. My friend and I were livid at this point. We eventually got sorted.
Onto the second leg of the journey and the flight was a little delayed AGAIN, but we let it pass. We just couldn't wait to reach out destination.
Fast forward to coming back home, our flight was delayed for over 2 hours!!! At this point, I started crying because I had planned to get home the following morning, rest a bit and then pick my daughter from creche in the evening but obviously that wasn't going to happen!
To make matters worse, the airline did nothing to compensate us for the stress and wasted time.
Ever since then, I've vowed never to fly the airline again. Not only that, I've told everyone I know not to either based on my first and only experience with them.

P.S: customer service spans across all industries and a lot of businesses are not paying attention to this part of their business
