Brandshout 🎤 Well done to for hitting 3 million followers over the weekend.

We adore and can appreciate they have a killer social media strategy in place. But, if we had to focus on one key component of social media marketing, they're absolutely nailing it's: User-Generated Content (UGC).

NA-KD Fashion does a phenomenal job showcasing UGC. Their feed is about 90% made up of their consumer's pictures wearing the brand. UGC adds value and credibility, and NA-KD shares a dynamic range of UGC, demonstrating the brands clothing on all different body shapes and sizes - illustrated by real customers.

For dinner reservations, we’ll book the oh-so Instagramable L’antica Trattoria Sorrento. The struggle I see with most brands social media strategy is that they try to do it all and target everyone.

Although it might seem counterintuitive niching your target audience can help your business grow faster.

Once you narrow down on a nice and come up with solutions for the target market that fall within it, your brand will soon become the “go-to” brand in the specific category.

For example, if you were planning a baby shower and we’re looking for an event organiser, which business would you feel more inclined to contact:

Business A with an Insta Bio that reads: “Inspiring and creating your baby shower dreams..”

Or

Business B with an Insta Bio that reads: “Offering event services since 2013”

We think Business A takes gold 🥇

This doesn’t mean you have to stick with the same niche forever, but if you find your social media strategy struggling then it’s time to niche down.

The key to a successful social media strategy is uncovering the balance between wanting to sell to your audience and providing valuable content to your audience. The sweet spot in between is your guide to creating quality content.

If you are struggling to create content that falls in the middle, ask yourself the following questions:

• Can I share any tips and tricks about my brand?
• Can I give out free valuable information?
• What unique qualities of my brand's personality can I share?
• How can I help my customers without asking for anything in return?

Once you answer the questions above, you’ll get a better understanding of what is needed to make Quality Content.

So quite a common question we hear lately is "What's the difference between Instagram Stories and Reel videos?" So here's a simple comparison ⚡️

With every brand, comes a different strategy. So far, Instagram stories might be working in your favour. But does that mean you shouldn't try out Reels?

Instagram Stories and Reels are separate platforms where you can share different types of content.

⁣Take a look at this comparison and see if the features could work better with your current story strategy? Are you putting out content that you don't want to vanish in 24 hours? Are you finding it hard to get onto the explore page?

We're not saying that one "better" than the other, both can be used effectively if you how the correct content accurately. Remember, Instagram rewards accounts which use their new features, so it is worth giving Reels a shot!
