πŸ‹β€β™‚οΈ With my photoshoot only around the corner and my cals dropping on a regular basis (energy dropping). My main objective in the gym is to keep a consistent level of strength/form throughout each exercise πŸ‹β€β™‚οΈ

😁 Today's session went great, hitting all my numbers that I was looking for when i went into the gym 😁

πŸ™Œ Form is the most important when it comes to your training. Every single rep on your working set counts so try not to have any bad reps. πŸ™Œ

πŸ’ͺ Next 4 weeks are really going to challenge me both physically/mentally. But I'm excited for the challenge. πŸ’ͺ

⭐ Online Client Update ⭐

As a coach our first priority is health. Darragh came to me with experience in the gym with a good level of muscle mass looking to "tone up". In our assessment I noticed a muscle imbalance in his traps (weaker traps). Darragh was also suffering with issues/pain in this area.

As I told Darragh our first phase was to correct this muscle imbalance before more issues came down the line.

In my experience muscle imbalance in the traps is the most common issue I have come across. It can be caused by a number of factors such as focusing on pec muscles too much or posture.

πŸ’ͺ After only a couple of weeks Darraghs muscle imbalance has improved immensely and he is now ready for our next phase πŸ’ͺ

😴 2 Tips for a Better Night Sleep 😴

1️⃣ Caffine Intake - Caffine can stay in your system for up to 10/12 hours after you consume it, I like to try stop Caffine by 12pm to get a better night sleep 1️⃣

2️⃣ Blue Light Blocking Galsses - These help prevent the strain in your eyes caused by screens, I like to wear them as soon as it gets dark and no screens at all 1/2 hours before bed is your best option 2️⃣

πŸ€” When you don't want to go to the gym... think of your goal πŸ€”

πŸ€” When you want to binge eat... think of your goal πŸ€”

πŸ€” When you have 5,000 more steps to get... think of that goal πŸ€”

πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ If you don't have something to thrive to, no matter how big or small it is, progress can sometimes hinder πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

⚠️ PROTEIN INTAKE ⚠️

1️⃣ Spreading your protein intake evenly throughout your meals has shown to be one of the most effective ways to get protein into the system 1️⃣

2️⃣ Having a protein shake get hugely increase your protein intake if your struggling to consume enough protein each day 2️⃣

3️⃣ When it comes to how much protein to consume each day, a good starting point for beginners is 0.6g per pound of bodyweight and for advanced is 1.6g 3️⃣

πŸ’ͺ Everybody is completely different when it comes to protein intake and what works for 1 person mighten work for the next, so tried and tested to find what suits you best but I hope these starting points can help improve your protein intake πŸ’ͺ
