Today, Verizon Ireland launched it's ‘Leave A Light On’ mental health initiative.

The purpose of the campaign is to let people who are struggling with mental health issues, and those who may be feeling suicidal or self-harming, know that they are not alone and there is always someone they can talk to…..someone who will leave a light on. Our ‘Leave A Light On’ initiative was launched today marrying Pieta's global ‘Darkness Into Light’ fundraising campaign which takes place tomorrow, May 8th at sunrise.

Central to this campaign is the heartfelt rendition of Tom Walker’s song ‘Leave A Light On’ performed by the Verizon Music Club, with members from across Ireland and the US. We invite all Verizon employees to participate in several ways: a walk or run, complete the Ohana su***de, record ‘Hope Notes’ for Pieta users, or make a voluntary donation to this worthy cause.

This campaign is in loving memory of our dear colleague Elizabeth Garvey, who we sadly lost in December 2020.
