Last week, The Guinness Enterprise Centre had the pleasure of welcoming students from University of Minnesota 🇺🇸

The MSc in Management of Technology group joined us for an engaging tour of the GEC, led by our Client Engagement Officer, Éabha Harper-McKeever.
Students also heard directly from some of our client companies:

✨ Mark Kelly from Kato AI Education led a thought-provoking session on defining life moments—and how challenges can spark the most meaningful ideas.
✨ Oisín Thomas of Acuru shared insights into the company’s growth journey and recent rebrand.

The group brought incredible energy throughout—asking thoughtful questions, engaging deeply, and fully embracing the entrepreneurial spirit at the GEC 🚀

Great to host our Lunch & Learn yesterday with Bird & Bird Ireland 🇮🇪

We explored how startups and scaling businesses can protect and commercialise their Intellectual Property — from trademarks and design rights to NDAs and market entry strategy.

💡 Key takeaway: strong, evidence-backed cases showed just how valuable a well-built IP portfolio can be — not just for protection, but as a real business asset.

The session was highly interactive, with lots of great questions throughout, and real-life case examples that brought the discussion to life.
