HSBC just admitted their data was breached sometime in the recent weeks! A lot of personal data was accessed and it is now at a risk of being compromised.

This is becoming all too common in the more connected and digitally transforming world, and if you are or ever get affected by this here are a few steps to remedy the damage:

- Change your passwords immediately
- Enable Two Factor Authentification (2FA)
- Monitor your transactions closely
- Place a fraud alert on your credit file

If you find anything suspicious going in your account, transactions or anything related, don't hesitate to file reports to your law enforcement agency.
