I have been studying Feng Shui for over 30 years, over the past few years I have been concentrating on the classic version Xuan Kong Fei Xing or Xuan Kong Flying Star Feng Shui which combines a number of principles from ancient Chinese philosophy. Using a little know method based on mapping the Xuan Kong Flying Star chart for a person instead of a building we can transcend the spac

e/direction element into the time element. This means we can calculate a person’s Chi/Balance at any given point in time and then remedy it in the usual manner using a persons date of birth/time and current Date/Time.

Our universe is in a constant state of "Flux" much like TIME, we can go forward but never back!! if we could stop time at the exact moment you were born it would gives us a unique time stamp (your personal timeline).
On the day you were born your clock "Stopped" or "Started" depending your point of view (glass half full or glass half empty), So we figured out how to reverse engineer TIME to give you a peek, actually we use the formula of "Xuan Kong Flying Star feng shui" to create a chart of the day you were born.

Xuan Kong Flying Star feng shui, is a discipline in Feng Shui, dating back over 2,000 years it's an integration of the principles of Yin Yang, the interactions between the five elements, the eight trigrams, the Lo Shu numbers, and the 24 Mountains, by using time, space and objects to create an astrological chart or snapshot of the moment you were born.

If you think about it we are having a peek(look) back in time to when you were born, and if were just peeking then maybe we can peek forward in time to, just to see what it might look like at a future point; lets say you have an important interview coming up or your deciding what it might be like on a certain future date(maybe your wedding)!! you can , well sort of; heres how it works.

All you need to do is enter your date of birth and name in the fields below and click: "Calculate Your Personal Feng Shui Time Chart" You can also put in that future date we were talking about, otherwise the system defaults to the time your creating the chart "NOW". Aslo we don't want going all "Back to the Future" on us , so we have limited the future dates to 2025.

Xuan Kong Flying Star Feng Shui Time or Xuan Kong Fei Xing are the tools used to measure Yin Yang, Five Elements, Trigrams,
Luo Shu, 24 Mountains and Time to create charts to analyse a person or dwelling/building.

How are the 24 Mountains calculated?
A standard compass is separated into 360 degrees with the primary directions of North, East, South and West and four secondary directions Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Northwest each covering 45 degrees, however the 45 degrees are sub-divided into 3 sub-sectors called Mountains(24 Mountains each 15 degrees.) .

What do they represent?
The sub-sectors are all either Yin or Yang; they represent one of the five elements Earth, Water, Wood, Fire and Metal.
Each sub-sector represents one of the 24 Mountains. Looking at your Lopan Compass it’s circular in shape, a circle consist of
360 degrees.

Doing the Math:

1 year is 365.25 days, a circle consists 360 degrees so each degree is equal to 1.01388889 days or ( 365.25 - 360 = 5.25 X 24
hours X 60 Mins = 8,640 / 360 = 24) so 1 degree is equal to 1 day and 24 mins…

24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 X 60 = 1440 mins in 1 day

1440 Mins divided by 360(degrees in Circle) = 4 therefore 1 degree = 4 mins.

But as we know in the Julian calendar year is divided into 12 months and 365.25 which means every 4 years an extra day is added to balance it out (very Feng Shui) , this extra day in the year is called a leap year. Instead of using ratio of 1 degree = 4 mins we concentrate on a more accurate division of time by using the months in a year, taking into consideration each month has different number of days ranging from 28 to 31. One month is equal to 30 degrees i.e 360 / 12 = 30 so each monthly segment is 30 degrees exactly but as each month has a different amount of days i.e January has 31 days and April has 30 below is the
breakdown for each month/day/degree.

January = 31 = 0.96774194
February = 28 = 1.07142857
March = 31 = 0.96774194
April = 30 = 1
May = 31 = 0.96774194
June = 30 = 1
July = 31 = 0.96774194
August = 31 = 0.96774194
September = 30 = 1
October = 31 = 0.96774194
November = 30 = 1
December = 31 = 0.96774194

These computations become more complex because each star/number will fly/move into a different location each time the annual period changes ( Feb 4th each year Traditional Feng Shui Times is based on the Chinese solar calendar). There are 9 separate time charts, one for each annual period, these map out the locations of each star/number within a given year.

This method allows us to pinpoint an exact moment in time Past, Present or Future.

And any person born between 1st Jan and 4th Feb in any year will use the previous year as their annual number i.e 1961 would
be 4 (annual number for 1960).

So Clocks , Compasses or Lasers are only the tools.

Let's calculate a person’s birth date using Xuan Kong Feng Shui Time method for 28th September 1961.

Birth Year: 1961 = 3 (using annual cycle method)
Month: September 28th = 268 degrees
This is calculated as 8 full months at 30 degrees is 240 plus 28th day as Sept has 30 days we can see right away it’s 28 degrees
extra as it’s 1:1 ratio. Looking at our annual time chart for period 3 shows 28th of September as 268 degrees is “Zi” and is Trigram “Kan” it’s element is “Water”.

And any person born between 1st Jan and 4th Feb in any year will use the previous year as their annual number i.e 1961 would
be 4 (annual number for 1960).

The super moon seen last night 14th Nov 2016 of was amazing, reminding us of the beauty and scale of universal energy, Qi(chi, Chee) is the term for the universal energy, or the energy that permeates everything around us.
Qi(chi, Chee) literally translates as "breath" or "air", some practitioners call it the life force or energy flow in any living organism. Ancient Chinese described it as "life force". In Feng Shui this term applies to the energy inside our bodies, and energy inside or outside of buildings. Chi is energy that flows in every living organism. In Chinese tradition, good flowing Chi makes you healthily. Sheng Qi is life enhancing energy giving feelings of contentment, happiness, and optimism, Sheng Qi is the upward and forward moving Qi(Chi, Chee ) it resides in bright, positive refreshing locations. Sha Qi(Chi, Chee ) is the opposite it is negative, unhealthy or harmful Qi(Chi, Chee ).

The flow of Qi(Chi, Chee ) is mapped and predicted using a method called "Wu Xing"

Wu Xing is said to mirror the structure of the cosmos through the five elements. Each "element" has a series of associations with different aspects of nature. In Feng Shui it uses the five elements (Wu Xing) system to Balance or repair Imbalance where needed.
All 5 elements are represented within the bagua (eight trigrams), each of the 5 elements are represented as colours, numbers, directions, seasons, etc. etc.
The elements are:
Fire ( 火 )
Earth ( 土 )
Metal ( 金 )
Water ( 水 )
Wood ( 木 )
Each element represents a different type of Qi(Chi, Chee ) or energy, Wu Xing is the interaction between each element it's seen as 3 distinct cycles Productive , Destructive and Weakening, knowledge of these cycles and the energy flow between the elements enables Feng Shui practitioners to apply specific cures by rearrangement of energy in a way that’s beneficial to people.

Productive Cycle:
When an element strengthens or “produces” another element, we strengthened that elements qualities using the productive sequence.
Fire nurtures -> Earth
Earth nurtures -> Metal
Metal nurtures -> Water
Water nurtures -> Wood
Wood nurtures -> Fire

Destructive Cycle:
When an element erodes or “destroys” another element, we destroy that elements qualities using the destructive sequence.
Fire Destroys --> (melts) Metal
Metal Destroys --> (chops) Wood
Wood Destroys --> (depletes) Earth
Earth Destroys --> (absorbs) Water
Water Destroys --> (puts out) Fire

Weakining Cycle:
When we wish to weaken an elements qualities, we use the weakening sequence.
Fire weakens --> Wood
Wood weakens --> Water
Water weakens --> Metal
Metal weakens --> Earth
Earth weakens --> Fire

Xuan Kong Flying Star Feng Shui Time – 81 Star Combinations.
In Xuan Kong Feng Shui each star is allocated a number and each star has an Element, Mountain and Trigram, these stars/numbers are constantly moving and interacting with each other. For this exercise we just concentrate on the Number and Element.

Let’s take a lotto machine and remove every other number except 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 (OK 1 to 9), so we call this machine fengshui1. Now we do the exact same thing with a 2nd lotto machine and call this one fengshui2. Now we run both machines100's of times and only record the first number out each time, we would get random 2 number sequences like 3-2, 4-9, 3-3, etc. So the most possible unique combinations would be 81.
Let’s go back to our lotto machines and instead of random numbers fenghui1 produces a number unique to your birthday and fengshui2 produces a unique number for any date you wish past, present or future. Now we have your birth number which is constant and a variable number based on time past, present or future.

Sample date and time based on Ex-President JF Kennedy.

JF Kennedy Born = 29/05/1917, his FST info would be Birth Number: -3, Trigram: Zhen, Mountain: Yi, Element: Wood

JF Kennedy Died = 22/11/1963, FST info for this day was Number: -9, Trigram: Li, Mountain: Wu , Element: Fire.

So combination for JF Kennedy on 22/11/1963 was 3-9, 3 - 9 = Hard Wood & Fire

For the feedback and suggestions given so far. Some people were wondering how they could use their chart on a daily basis, so I have added an extra section on the chart which gives a snapshot of the information as it is(now) when your chart is created i.e current Annual Number, current Birth Number (+ or -), current 24 Mountain, current Trigram and current Element.

I have also removed the menu section from the chart allowing it to be printed clearer. Please note the current date and time on your device is used to calculate the “now” portion of the chart, so if you wish to calculate a particular “date” just change the date on your device and the chart will reflect that “date”.

Feng Shui Time is one of disciplines in Xuan Kong Flying Star Feng Shui. FST (Feng Shui Time) uses Time and Space as calculations. Integrating principles like Yin & Yang, the five elements, eight trigrams, Luo Shu Numbers and the 24 Mountains. FST charts use all these elements to take a snapshot in time of when you were born, it reveals information like your Birth Annual Number, Your Birth Number (+ or -), Your 24 Mountain, Your Trigram and Your Element.
