😖 There are times in life, like us all, when I feel my anxiety rise. However, as someone who was once crippled by anxiety I notice how easy it could be to slip back into that constant state of worry and arousal. I know talking my anxieties through with someone can diminish their strength, I step back from triggering social media content and the news, I increase my activity levels and I reduce stimulants such as caffeine and alcohol all to help manage the intensity of my worry. For me, this helps. Also, I remind myself that I am brave!
✨Bravery is more common in us than we may think and this morning, while preparing for the week I thought this was worth sharing - reflecting on our bravery is always worthwhile. Defined as courage by the American Psychological Association, it is the ability to meet a difficult challenge despite the physical, psychological or moral risks in doing so. So, like I said, it’s more common than we may give ourselves credit for! Happy Monday.
