Live service announcements hit differently in 2026. Player trust is low, the market is crowded, and big promises do not land the way they once did.

In a new episode of The Game Business Show, Chase Colasonno from our PR team at fortyseven communications unpacks what works now: clear expectation setting, early community-building, credible long-term commitment, and the flexibility to adapt when feedback comes in.

'World War II with Tom Hanks' is now rolling out on The HISTORY Channel across 200 territories. Our team at TV+Synchron provided the German voice-over for this 20-episode series.

We’re grateful for the trust.

Helping this story travel well meant protecting its tone, intent and emotional weight for German-speaking audiences across generations. We’re proud of the outcome, and of the team behind this project.

The series premieres today, with episodes also available on demand after broadcast.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a chance to look more closely at who games, movies and digital experiences still leave out, and what better design can change for many people.

In this new article, we discuss why accessibility is not one-size-fits-all, why last-minute fixes often fall short, and why concepts like the curb cut effect, the Purple Pound and the European Accessibility Act deserve more attention.

Whether you’re new to accessibility or revisiting the fundamentals, this offers a practical starting point.

When people hear the word accessibility, they often think about a compliance checklist or a handful of add-on features near the end of production. That is still one of the biggest misunderstandings when teams within the digital space plan for accessibility

21/05/2026

Accessibility in games still has a blind spot: audio description.

For Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re sharing a video conversation with Jenna "Jennissary" from our team at Descriptive Video Works on:
🔹 what studios are currently underestimating
🔹 a major misconception holding the industry back
🔹 what she believes will matter most in the years ahead

Jenna's answers point to one clear theme: audio description is not just an accessibility add-on. It has a real impact on how games are experienced, understood, and made more inclusive for many players. And it is less expensive than you might think.

Watch the video to hear Jenna’s insights.

If your mobile game only performs well on high-end devices, you could be cutting off a big part of your audience before launch.

That is not just a performance issue. It is a growth issue.

Low and mid-tier devices currently account for 67% of revenue for mobile game developers and publishers.

In this new article, our team at Sperasoft shares 5 practical insights on how to optimise for broader reach without losing sight of quality.

From production planning and memory budgets to scalable art direction, this is a useful read for teams balancing player experience, stability, and commercial reach.

đź”– Save this for your next production review.
Or share it with the person on your team who owns mobile performance.

1. Optimisation Starts at the Production Level, Not at the EndOne of the most common misconceptions is that optimisation happens at the later stage...

A racing game may look all about speed, but there is far more language under the bonnet than you might think.

Big congratulations to everyone behind Forza Horizon 6 on launch day.

We’re proud to have supported the game with text localization in 21 languages and audio localization in 9, helping more players experience the journey through Japan naturally.

Thank you for a wonderful collaboration, Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios.

See you on the road!

Woolly Woolly is on quite the roll 🧶 and we’re proud to have been part of the journey.

Our team at Syllabes Académie handled casting and recording for the original English version of this charming French-Canadian animated series about five knitted gnomes living in a world made entirely out of wool.

Young audiences are clearly loving these hand-knitted stories, and honestly, so are we.

Congratulations to PVP MEDIA on such a lovely run. We’re looking forward to seeing Woolly Woolly 'The New Kid' at Annecy 2026 next month.
