Follow the Artscope Trail as Culture Night comes to your doorstep!

This Culture Night, Artscope is bringing FREE live culture to four communities: Esker, Griffeen, Airlie and Dodsboro.

Come along to an event in your own community or follow the Artscope Trail and discover Culture Night across all four locations.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be revealing the artists, venues, music, performances and events taking place along the trail.

✨ Artist Spotlight: Macdara Ó'Faoláin ✨

We are very excited to feature the brilliant Macdara Ó'Faoláin at our upcoming Coast2Coasts at Rathfarnham Castle - part of the Summer Concert Series 2026 presented by Artscope.

Macdara Ó'Faoláin (fiddle, bouzouki & mandolin) is an award-winning traditional Irish musician, widely celebrated for his groundbreaking and innovative approach to the Irish bouzouki. Honoured as the TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2024, he stands out as one of Ireland's most compelling and dynamic emerging traditional artists.

On Sunday, 30 August, Macdara will bring his exceptional artistry to the stage alongside Éamonn Cagney (percussion) and Niwel Tsumbu (guitar). Together, this spectacular trio introduces a poignant new collaboration that delves into heritage and shared musical landscapes, forging vibrant connections across distinct cultures and borders.

What a fantastic day of live music and community spirit it was at Sunday Sounds @ Waterstown Park on Sunday, 16 August 2026!

✨From the wonderful music by RumbaTism to the fantastic performances by Flo McSweeney, Simon Morgan, and the Richie Buckley Trio, it was an afternoon filled with a curated mix of Latin, Jazz, Bolero, Flamenco, and Celtic sounds in the heart of Waterstown Park.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, enjoyed the music, grabbed a treat from the vans, and made this event so special. 💚

🎶 Spotlight on Niwel Tsumbu 🎶

We’re thrilled to present Niwel Tsumbu at Coast2Coasts at Rathfarnham Castle - Summer Concert Series 2026 presented by Artscope.

Niwel Tsumbu is a Grammy-award-winning Congolese-born, Ireland-based guitarist whose virtuosic style blends jazz, classical, rock, folk and rumba. He has performed with Sinéad O’Connor, Buena Vista Social Club and Baaba Maal.

On Sunday, 30 August Niwel Tsumbu (guitar) joins Éamonn Cagney (percussion) and Macdara Ó’Faoláin (fiddle, bouzouki & mandolin) for a poignant new collaboration exploring heritage and shared musical landscapes while creating vibrant connections between cultures, locations and countries.

🎶 Spotlight on Éamonn Cagney 🎶

We’re delighted to welcome Éamonn Cagney to Coast2Coasts at Rathfarnham Castle - Summer Concert Series 2026 presented by Artscope.

Éamonn is one of Ireland’s premier hand-drum percussionists, performing on djembe, conga, cajón, udu drums, handpan, bodhrán, drum kit and a wide range of global percussion instruments.

On Sunday, 30 August Éamonn Cagney (percussion) joins Niwel Tsumbu (guitar) and Macdara Ó’Faoláin (fiddle, bouzouki & mandolin) for a poignant new collaboration exploring heritage and shared musical landscapes while creating vibrant connections between cultures, locations and countries.
