Ian F T Young Photography A new approach to school photography. Ian F T Young Photography was set up and is run by husband and wife team Ian and Miriam Young.

I started in photography back in 1984. Having spent three years working and studying photography in Dublin, I moved to study photography, film and television for four years in the UK. For the past twenty years, I have been working as a freelance cameraman / photographer based in London and Dublin. Most of my work is for the BBC and at present I am one of the main cameramen on programmes such as ‘T

he Antiques Roadshow’ and ‘Gardner’s World’. After years of buying the traditional school photograph for our three children, and with them ending up in the drawer, my wife Miriam and I decided that more could be done to capture the character and personality of our children in their school environment. We wanted to be proud to display a modern fresh school photo in our home.
