What drives us to do what we do?

We asked our M-CO team what they love most about their work, and their answers are everything! 💙

Our team spans strategy, design, and project management, but what unites us is our shared passion for tackling the big challenges: climate action, healthcare transformation, transport that works for everyone, and place-making that brings communities together.

Yes, the problems are complex, but that’s exactly why we need creative collaboration and good intent, because when you’re working on projects that matter, it doesn’t feel like work. It feels like purpose.

As the people we work with say, we’re thinkers and doers.

Bike Week is a great moment to put cyclists in the spotlight. It’s also a chance to spotlight the people who tell the story of cycling in Ireland and highlight our recent work with the NTA on the 2025 Walking and Cycling Index.

The Index is the most detailed picture yet of how active travel is changing our cities and behind the data sits a body of work that our design and film team brought to life. We were proud to support the NTA on this work. Our videographers captured the everyday moments that the data points back to. The numbers tell us what’s happening. The stories captured show us why it matters.

So this Bike Week, we’re thinking of the stories behind the shift. The communities are making active travel choices every day. The work that gives this infrastructure its meaning. Take part in Bike Week this week.

Our first B-Corp month!

For M-CO, becoming a B Corp wasn’t a new direction. It was recognition of the direction we’d always been travelling. But B Corp Month reminded us why it matters to say that out loud, to share the journey openly, and to be part of a community that’s genuinely working towards something better.

This month, we shared our honest guide to what B Corp certification actually takes on our Substack. (Link in bio) The process, the numbers, the challenges, and the tips we wish we’d had staring off and we took to the stage at Huckletree Dublin with the France Ireland Chamber of Commerce for The Road to B Corp.
We’ve had some brilliant conversations with organisations across Ireland, and we are genuinely excited to keep the conversation going.

M-CO are delighted to be working with Dublin City Council Parks, Biodiversity and Landscape Services on the Cherry Orchard Park Renewal: a plan to strengthen the park’s role at the heart of community life in Dublin.

The vision is a park for everyone.
High-quality sports and recreation facilities, inclusive play areas, enhanced biodiversity, and flexible spaces for community events and gathering, somewhere people of all ages and abilities can explore, play, exercise and connect, now and for generations to come.

Last week, we co-hosted a drop-in session at The Orchard Community Centre, and the room told us everything we needed to know about why this work matters. Residents came in, looked at the plans, and shared what they wanted their park to be. Dog parks. Cherry blossom trees. Smooth paths for wheelchairs and buggies. Edible gardens. Sheltered spaces for teenagers. Outdoor learning areas. The ideas kept coming, and every one of them was taken into account for the design.

We’re grateful to everyone who came in and took the time to have real conversations in the right place with the right people, not a form or a box to tick, but genuine community participation and engagement.

There’s one more week to have your say online. If you live, work, or have roots in Cherry Orchard, your voice belongs in this process.
