Last week, we were delighted to host the Infrastructure Working Group at The InterContinental Dublin.

We are grateful to Jasmina Behan, Deputy Secretary General of the Infrastructure Division at the , for a clear and considered update on the Government’s infrastructure priorities.

With a record €275 billion in capital investment committed to 2035, the focus is now firmly on delivery. Jasmina set out how the Accelerating Infrastructure Action Plan is tackling the barriers that slow projects down, from legal and regulatory complexity to construction capacity and public acceptance. At its heart is a shift in culture: from risk aversion to risk management, and from a defensive approach to one focused on delivery, with the public good built-in throughout.

Water, transport and energy are the priority areas. Closing the infrastructure gap will mean more homes, a stronger economy, faster decarbonisation and a more resilient Ireland.

At M-CO, so much of our work sits where public policy meets delivery, and we know that progress depends on this kind of collaboration between government, utilities, industry and communities. Our sincere thanks to the France Ireland Chamber, , Jasmina Behan and all the members who contributed to the discussion.
