There's so much conflicting information out there and if you look hard enough you can find a reason not to eat everything! My mission is to filter through all this information, to learn, educate and pass on what I can to anyone willing to listen! My own journey started when I left college and joined Weight Watchers! This was the first time I learned how to read ingredients - probably the only good
thing that did come out of it! Sure, I lost weight, avoided fat, turned vegetarian and remained that way for 8 years. Within that time, I moved to New Zealand to pursue a career in the film industry and was confronted with new foods, fruits, veg and even turned vegan for some time while I was there. I achieved my aim and my film career took off. 3 years later, returning home and continuing in this career that I had always dreamed of being in, began to take its toll. The long hours, intense and busy working days and unreliability of this type of work were hard to deal with sometimes. A cycle of working hard, gaining weight, then being out of work and joining weight watchers again, began and it was a case of rinse and repeat. Long story short, the world of weight training, high intensity interval training and clean eating became my "way of eating" - no dieting! And there's no going back. Some call it paleo, others call it caveman eating or primal eating or whatever but - I call it "eating REAL food"
But its a journey, not a destination, and it evolves from one year to the next until you finally know your body well enough to give it what it needs. I don't believe in "diets", I believe in adopting a way of eating, and a type of lifestyle to help YOUR body to be in the best condition possible!
