From 1 July 2026, Irish hotels will need to manage two different VAT rates across their revenue streams:

🛏️ Accommodation: 13.5% VAT
🍽️ Food & catering services: 9% VAT

While the change may seem straightforward, many hotels rely on accounting and point-of-sale systems that weren't designed to automatically split revenue correctly.

Now is the time to:

✅ Check your accounting software mappings
✅ Test VAT reporting before the change takes effect
