Ship Shape Seamanship Skills - they are a lifesaver! Eddie Culshaw
Eddie is Bosun/Coxwain serving in the Irish Navel Service for over 25yrs.

Our seamanship courses are hands on, practical courses designed to enable you, the student, to learn at your own pace. Both Eddie and Jenny have many years experience teaching practical seamanship to crews aboard vessels from Fully Rigged tall ships to state of the art Navel Vessels. Our student / teacher ratio of 5:1 will ensure you get constant personal instruction while learning in a safe env

ironment. On completion of our course you will have gained knowledge and experience in Practical Seamanship and Safety on Board which will boost your confidence while enjoying your favourite past time this summer. He instructs in all aspects of seamanship, sea survival, fire safety and power boats. Jenny Needham
Jenny is a block and tackle sailor serving as Bosun aboard various 17th to 20th century traditional tall ships. She instructs in traditional seamanship skills, knots, spices and rope work.

In partnership with Sallynoggin College Advanced Tourism students, The Dunleary Lifeboat Project presents the The Dunleary Lifeboat (no.658) Restoration Exhibition, with a look at the history of the Dunleary lifeboat which saved 55 lives.
Opening: 21st January, 6pm-8pm
Exhibition: Tuesday 22nd January until 4th February
