I very rarely ask people to support charities publicly, but this one is incredibly close to my heart.

My 17-year-old nephew Ross and his friends have organised an amazing charity football match called Kick It For Cancer in aid of the North Louth Hospice and Homecare Foundation. The event will take place on the 22nd of July, and every single donation — no matter how small — will make a difference.

Ross is doing this in honour of his auntie Claire, who sadly passed away from cancer in recent years. As a family, this cause means so much to us, and we would love to support it as much as possible in her memory.

I was truly honoured to speak at the launch of the MENTHER Community in Creative Spark, Dundalk, as a role model alongside so many inspiring voices.

MentHer is about connection, confidence and community — creating space to celebrate, support and empower women and young women as they grow in their careers, businesses and ambitions.

It’s always a privilege to share my journey in engineering and entrepreneurship, and if even one woman feels encouraged to step forward boldly, then it was worthwhile.
