Culloville Smuggler & Yankee Candle Launch ‘Washed Red’ Christmas Candle
In a surprise cross-border collaboration, a well-known Culloville smuggler and Yankee Candle have unveiled their newest festive fragrance: “Washed Red Diesel.”
Described as “a bold mix of diesel fumes, damp euro notes, and the sweet aroma of a freshly steam-cleaned boot liner,” the candle promises to bring that authentic South Armagh Christmas spirit straight into living rooms nationwide.
A Yankee Candle spokesperson said the partnership was “unexpected,” but insisted the smuggler had a “remarkable nose for scents… and loopholes.”
The limited-edition candle comes in a special jar featuring a frosted design inspired by a cold morning at the border. It is expected to sell out quickly, mainly to homesick people in America and Australia and people who enjoy the smell of mild danger.
Preorders open Friday, provided customs don’t intercept them first.
