Gillian Slattery from the Student Entrepreneur Awards is giving a guest talk on Thursday 18th February at 11am in room M124 in the Muirhevna Building.

Gillian will be talking through the application process for the Student Entrepreneur Awards and answering any questions regarding the application process.

The Irish Student Summit 2016 will also take place on the 4th February in Dublin Castle. The event will have over 600 students, 40+ start-ups, 22 workshops and powerhouse business speakers from Silicon Valley and Ireland, with speakers from Twitter, Paddy Power, Silicon Republic, Ireland AM and Humans of Dublin.

One Student Start-up will walk away with a €1,500 investment in their business idea.

Do you have a good business idea? Are you thinking of starting up your own ICT project? FACE Entrepreneurship is the meeting point for entrepreneurs who are willing to help each other overcome the barriers they confront along the road to entrepreneurship.

FACE Entrepreneurship is a European Commission funded project aimed at promoting ICT entrepreneurship in young Europeans by breaking down the barrier of the fears of failure.

They are hosting an event in Dublin on Thursday 4th February from 5:30pm – 8:30pm in Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC), Taylors Lane, Dublin 8. Confirmed speakers include: Ken Banks from Kiwanja, Jesse Van Doren from Mapped in Holland and Cristina Luminea from ThoughtBox.
