CAREER OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR PLANNING / RESEARCH ARCHAEOLOGIST

At Courtney Deery Heritage Consultancy (CDHC) we are seeking to expand our team and are looking to recruit a Senior Planning/ Research Archaeologist. This position offers involvement in all aspects of archaeological research, planning and consultancy in a busy Dublin based practice.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of the archaeological planning system with a minimum of 5 years’ experience gained in either the public or private sector. A minimum of a degree in archaeology or equivalent qualification with a proven record of carrying out robust and transparent heritage impact and conservation-focused reports is required.

Key responsibilities include carrying out research, impact assessments, reporting, site work, consultation and project management. Consultation and communicating key issues to clients and external stakeholders will form part of the job description.

A salary range of €40,000 - €46,000 commensurate with experience is on offer to the successful candidate.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY: LICENSE ELIGIBLE ARCHAEOLOGIST

CDHC is a well-resourced heritage consultancy that has both led and participated in interdisciplinary planning, conservation focused projects and large-scale excavation and assessment projects. This position offers involvement in all aspects of archaeological excavation, testing and consultancy in a busy Dublin based practice.

We are seeking license eligible archaeologists for urban and rural excavation projects. The ideal candidate will have an excellent experience in archaeological excavation and the direction and management of archaeological teams.

A minimum of a degree in archaeology with 5 years of experience gained in either the public or private sector in directing archaeological excavations is required. Responsibilities include undertaking impact assessments and archaeological excavations in rural and urban environments, directing a team of archaeologists, reporting and presenting key issues and results to clients and stakeholders.

An attractive remuneration package commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be provided to the successful applicant. A salary range €43,000 - €46,000 is on offer.
