Last night, we dressed up and attended the Wexford Business Awards.
I love seeing businesses and individuals do well. I am genuinely passionate about supporting good people and focused businesses to achieve, strive, succeed, overcome challenges, and keep driving onward.
This event celebrates and recognises the resilience, ambition, and progress of businesses that sit at the heart of our economy and our communities and that, my friends, is no small thing.
Throughout the evening, I reconnected with contacts, connections, and clients. There were plenty of firm handshakes, honest conversations, and meaningful discussions about business journeys, the current landscape, opportunities, gaps waiting to be filled, the value of support, funding, new ideas, trust, change, talent in the room and of course, the dinner and our children too.
These are the conversations I enjoy most because they are real, relaxed and face to face.
Ultimately, this event exists to recognise achievement and true resilience in business.
Congratulations to every finalist, runner-up, and category winner. Every one of you is achieving, contributing, and helping lead the way for those coming behind us.
Two special pieces during the evening were the highlight of the “look to Wexford” initiative to highlight the full offering from the county of Wexford as a business arena. Keep an eye out for this.
Secondly the lovely acknowledgment of the wealth of support and genuine care that Blaise Brosnan has given to businesses spanning decades. So well deserved.
My own mighty win of the night went to my feet and my shoes….both survived the night intact !
Thank you to Paula Roche and all her team at County Wexford Chamber and Aisling O’Connor of County Wexford Chamber Skillnet for a lovely night.
