Happy World Creativity & Innovation Day.

Today is a global celebration of the ideas, ingenuity, and creative thinking shaping our world, and a reminder of the power of creativity to drive meaningful economic and social impact.

At CREW, we see that impact every day through the creatives and innovators across our community who are building businesses, redefining industries, and pushing boundaries. We were so pleased to have host our April Design Mingle last Friday. Oisin led us through an open exploration of how he creates, collaborates, and questions his creative process.

Oisin shared his experience in co-creating public spaces, and when he learned how it moved beyond design practice, and into inclusive dialogue. He spoke about motion design as a language for translating complex data into something people can actually feel, going beyond merely understanding.

It was great to hear Oisin's emphasis on 'trusting the process': on building relationships with clients that allow for exploration, and on recognising creative opportunity where it’s not immediately obvious.

The conversation moved fluidly across music, festivals, sound, and motion; how creative direction can shape culture, and how style often emerges organically when you pay attention to what’s already there.

One of the questions that really stood out was when he asked himself - "Who inspired the people who inspire me?" A generational chain of influence, identity, and authenticity is something we look forward to hearing more about.

Thank you to Oisin for sharing his creative journey, and for all of those in attendance.

We will be announcing upcoming Design Mingle events in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
