A closer look at The Future of Creative Work, a knowledge exchange event hosted by CREW as part of our Creative Catalyst programme

We’ve designed this half day to move the conversation from from understanding what’s changing in the creative industries to exploring what makes collaboration work and turning those conversations into action.

At today’s Design Mingle, six Landing Studio founders shared how they’re using AI in their businesses.

From product development and storytelling to podcasting, digital heritage and content creation, their presentations showed how AI can simplify processes and support product development, while their expertise and creative judgement guide the results and shape the work that they do.

Developed by the Western Development Commission and CREW to support regional creative industries startups, the Landing Studio gives founders workspace, mentoring and connections to experiment, create and scale. With the AIM Centre in Sligo as its key member, it also offers access to expertise in AI and emerging technologies.

Design Mingle is funded by Galway City Council through its Creative Communities Fund, an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme.

This Friday, our Design Mingle: Creative Connections is featuring the creative businesses in our Landing Studio, bringing together creative founders to share how they're exploring AI and what it could mean for their businesses.

We'll hear from six founders taking part in the Western Development Commission's Landing Studio, sharing the AI projects they've been working on, what they've learned and the advice they'd give other creative businesses getting started.

The Landing Studio also brings together expertise from the AIM Centre, its anchor tenant, supporting creative businesses as they explore the potential of AI and

The Landing Studio is a pilot initiative from the Western Development Commission (WDC), supporting creative enterprises and innovation-led businesses across the West and Northwest of Ireland. Based at CREW in Galway, the Landing Studio provides a collaborative space to 9 creative businesses to explore emerging technologies, develop new ideas and unlock creative and commercial opportunities.

From their first steps with AI to the projects they're developing, the challenges they've encountered and the unforeseen opportunities they're discovering, we'll get a first-hand look at how creative businesses are experimenting with new technologies and what they've learned along the way. With AIM Centre (Advancing Innovation in Manufacturing) as its anchor tenant, AI and emerging technologies are central to this initiative.
