Earlier this evening I accompanied to meet from the company on Abbeygate St. Eugene's brother Ronan was the victim of an unprovoked assault in the Woodquay area last weekend which resulted in serious injuries which required corrective surgery. Eugene spoke at length of the impact this has had on Ronan and their family. Since speaking out about the assault many more people have contacted Eugene to relay similar stories of similar instances. This is very worrying for the the safety of innocent citizens and the reputation of the city. I hope the people responsible for the assault on Ronan are brought to task and get a sentence appropriate to the Crime. Thanks to Eugene for taking the time to meet with us and his hospitality.
