🌞🎨 Ballybane Summer Camp is Back! 🎨🌞

We're delighted to announce that registrations are now open for the Ballybane Summer Camp 2026 – and thanks to funding support from the Community Safety Fund and the Department of Justice Ireland , we're looking forward to delivering a bigger and better camp than ever before!

With arts, crafts, fun activities even a couple of small trips out planned, it's set to be another fantastic experience for young people in our community.

🌟 Great News for Ballybane! 🌟

We're delighted to see Ballybane continuing to improve its standing in the latest IBAL litter survey.

This achievement is a reflection of the pride, care and community spirit shown in the efforts of our local residents, community groups, schools, businesses and volunteers who work hard to keep our area looking its best.

Well done to all involved, this is something the whole community can be proud of! 👏💚

A great result in the national IBAL litter survey today only 5 points behind the European Norms, well done to all the residents and our newly formed tidy towns group for all the hard work,
Cllr Alan Cheevers for helping us set up the Ballybane tidy towns group.

Galway city Council environmental section, Litter management, housing, and parks, for there continued support .👏

We will continue our work to bring Ballybane higher up the anti-litter point scale for the next ibal litter survey.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of Liam Bluett.

As the first CEO of SCCUL Enterprises CLG, Liam played a monumental role not only in the establishment of SCCUL Enterprises CLG, but also in shaping it into the organisation it is today. He was a driving force behind many of its achievements.

Liam’s passion for helping people was unmatched. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief in putting people first touched the lives of so many and reflected the truly remarkable person he was.

He will be deeply missed by everyone in the SCCUL family, and we will continue to honour his legacy through the work we do every day.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Liam’s wife Annette, his children, Kate, Rory, and Fíona, and to his extended family and friends at this profoundly difficult time.
