I am passionate about tutoring children who need help with their reading, writing and spelling. I worked for The Children's Literacy Charity in London for 3 years where I tutored over 80 children with a range of literacy needs. I also received specialist dyslexia training from the University of London.

In the first lesson I undertake an assessment of the child's reading age and comprehension age and I identify what sounds they need to learn. In a typical lesson, pupils engage in structured reading and writing activities, in addition to learning new sounds, new high frequency words and grammar.

Pupils are given learning aids at the end of each lesson to reinforce what they have learnt. I give lessons at my home in Glanmire and I am also willing to travel.
