🔥 Solid Fuel Merchants Ireland is calling for full EPA registration for all fuel retailers — not just suppliers.

✅ Why? Because transparency matters.
🛡️ It protects consumers,
🚫 Helps stamp out illegal sellers,
⚖️ And creates a level playing field for responsible businesses.

It’s time to — for cleaner air, safer homes and a fairer market. 🌍🏠

On this World Environment Day, we highlight the role that responsible fuel merchants are already playing in protecting Ireland’s environment and public health.

Across the country, legitimate solid fuel retailers are:

✔️ Supplying cleaner, low-sulphur products
✔️ Following strict environmental rules
✔️ Investing in sustainable fuel alternatives
✔️ Keeping homes warm in areas where no other option exists

But this progress is at risk. Illegal fuel sales bypass standards, pollute the air and undercut compliant local businesses.

By choosing a trusted, local retailer, you're supporting cleaner air, fair taxation and a just energy transition for rural Ireland.

Let’s continue heating homes responsibly – and safeguarding our shared environment.

We are currently experiencing major price increases within the solid fuels industry, which is completely outside of our control. To try and keep our business open for the coming season we will be no longer offering any credit. All purchases will have to be prepaid or paid on delivery. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Colin Ahern.
