The aim of a CV/Resume is to get you an interview.

If you are getting interviews, your CV is working 💪

TIPS for CV creation

Choose a professional font.
Avoid over cluttering your CV
Is it easy to read?
Does it make sense?
For each sentence - ask yourself

So What?
Does it relate to the role you are applying for?

Profile - Bullet Points or a short Statement that describes what you are about.
- Include an overview of your knowledge, experience, skills and personality that are relevant to the role.

Key Achievements - place under each role starting with your current role. (I recommend detailing the last 10 years of experience)
Prior to that you can include Organisation, Title and Years for each role held. (Unless specifically asked for every role- normally this is during an application form)

Begin sentences with action based words.
- Delivered
- Managed
- Steered
- Achieved
- Increased

Give concise examples, don't embellish or exaggerate. Give clear facts. Where possible state numbers to demonstrate your achievements. % and Numbers draw the reader in.

The Interview day has arrived. This is one pose I don't recommend to my clients 😂

Body Language is important. Make a great first impression. - Stand and walk tall when entering the room.
- Smile
- Offer a firm handshake (not bone crunching)
- Don't cross your arms during the interview (or put your feet on the table 😆)
- Tilt your body (slightly forward) to show you are interested in what the interviewer is asking

Relax, listen and answer the question you are asked concisely.
Smile- sometimes we forget as we are concentrating on what we are going to say. Remember it shows in our facial expressions.

TIP: Practice in front of a mirror.
