Rinn na Mara we admire for its planting. Thanks to Tom the horticulturalist and residents, who has worked in this development. The gardening looks very mature considering its only a few years old. Love the amount of pollinators also planted here. 🐝🐜🐞

Residential areas are one of eight areas ajudicated in the national supervalue competition.

Another busy week, our wed crew removed more snowberry (invasive species) in the memorial garden.

We also were hand weeding on quay, court road and at Foxes. Thanks to all our volunteers who keep our village looking well kept.

We are out Wednesdays at 10.30am, 7.30pm and Saturday mornings. Always welcome new volunteers😀

Join us for our free heritage event with Kinvara heritage group and Dr. Michael Brogan for a maritime, oyster and boat themed talk 🏚⛵️🛶🦪

Marian Connolly will discuss notable buildings and heritage at risk. While Dr. Michael Brogan will be at the Quay to discuss Kinvara maritime heritage, Galway hookers and the connections between Connemara and Kinvara. Cuanbeo will discuss the native oyster.

Today’s spotlight at Kinvara Farmers Market is Ogham Stones by Mike Swords. Ogham is the first written format for the Irish language and dates back over 2000 years. It was originally expressed as lines on standing stones. Mike, who is based in Galway, creates his crafts using stone, wood and crystals. You can find fridge magnets, coasters, bottle openers, framed panels and birth symbols and many other items.

Our volunteers are not shy of hard work!

Thanks to all volunteers over the last no of weeks, who worked on the Castle footpath weedexing and manual weeding.

This week, post Cruinniu we had litter picks on Monday. On Wednesday, Volunteers were also busy cleaning up beds and weeding in village. Raya our Tus team member was sanding benches, getting in some last maintenance actions before Autumn.
