Led by Kim Arnold, a highly experienced creative writing specialist and owner-founder of Font, the Close Company Creative Writing Dayschools welcome emerging and aspiring writers who are actively engaged in any form or genre of creative writing.
The Close Company dayschool concept is particularly receptive to the unique ideas, talents, abilities, aims and needs of individual writers.
Offering a series of 5 Saturday dayschools across the autumn months, it has been specifically devised to enhance individual creativity in a place of peace and tranquillity, away from the stresses and distractions of everyday life.
Each dayschool will consist of morning sessions (10am-1pm) of group activities and discussions designed to refresh, refocus, and boost writing confidence.
These will be followed by afternoons (2pm-5pm) of personal writing time, feed-back, reading reception and response, and one-to-one mentoring.
Along with personal projects, it is also hoped that participants will enjoy collaborating in a Close Company group piece to be showcased to friends, loved-ones, and supporters during the final dayschool session on Saturday 16th December.
Fee: €35 per individual dayschool or €150 per series of 5 dayschools*
