Flying the flag 🇮🇪 in California, literally!

An epic adventure, back on the West Coast of the US for the first time in 20 years, meetings clients and friends alike. They even flew the Tricolour at Cal Club for me, a particular highlight and one of the coolest things done for me on a Golf Course.

Many thanks to everybody and especially the Irish diaspora (mafia! 😉🇮🇪) who made me feel as welcome as I would feel at home, and a special thanks to Bryan Lynch who’s invite to the Lake Merced Member Guest sparked the whole trip!

A wonderful week attending the PGA Show in Orlando last week, much done on the show floor and on and off the course as well!

Great to connect with colleagues, clients and friends from either side of the Atlantic. Delighted to hear there is also still plenty of interest in Tours for this season and of course there’s huge demand for 2027 with the Ryder Cup on the horizon.

If I could improve one thing for next year’s Show week then it would be finding somewhere to get a decent cup of 🫖

What a week for our Masters Trip, a different post coming up about all the gorgeous golf courses we played shortly too!

There is something very special about Augusta National. From the welcome when you arrive to the whole atmosphere, the gargantuan golf shop (with similar size queues!), even the concessions that are still priced at what they were for the first Masters. It just feels different, and in the best possible way!

We had a wonderful day on the Wednesday for the Par-3, walking the whole course, witnessing an impromptu but planned proposal (she said yes!), all culminating in seeing Poppy McIlroy steal the show on the 9th Green of the Par-3 Tournament. A sign of things to come as it turned out…..

Looking forward to some great Events this year!

We start in Orlando with our fabulous friends at Full Wedge Golf for the Orlando Classic! Then it’s back to Kerry for the Social Media Open at Ballybunion Old, Tralee, Di**le & Dooks. August sees us going to Carne & Enniscrone for our Links Challenge!
