Tony's ambitious and highly original novel received quite the send-off, with a fantastic gathering of readers, writers, friends and supporters from Kerry, across Ireland and beyond.

Flick through the images to see some of the highlights from a memorable afternoon at the Listowel Arms Hotel, including contributions from Mary Kennelly, Ned Sullivan and many others who came to celebrate the publication of this remarkable new work.

Set in rural Ireland and rich in memory, folklore, humour and humanity, 'Quilt' has already attracted praise from leading literary voices, including award-winning novelist Christine Dwyer Hickey.

There was something particularly fitting in Angelos receiving author copies of one book while preparing to sign the contract for the next. Readers, students and academic colleagues alike are benefiting from his remarkable burst of scholarship and publishing productivity.

Timely and thought-provoking, 'Voices of Resistance-' explores how feminist musical movements in Spain and Greece confront femicide and gender-based violence, transforming memory, mourning and collective action into powerful forms of resistance and demands for justice.

✨📚 Join us for a very special joint book launch at this Listowel Writers' Week festival as we celebrate 'Quilt' by Tony Guerin alongside 'On the Wind and the Singing Tide' by Mary Kennelly.

The team is delighted to invite you to the launch of 'Quilt', the powerful and beautifully crafted new novel from one of Listowel’s most admired contemporary writers.

Set in the fictional village of Kilinver, 'Quilt' is an imaginative and richly layered story where lives, memories and buried tensions are stitched together across generations. At the centre of the novel is Nell Burrows and her simmering grievance against poet Pete Crotty, a thread that unfolds into a gripping and darkly compelling tale.

Award-winning novelist Christine Dwyer Hickey described 'Quilt' as ‘a melody of varying colours and shades of diamonds’, a fitting tribute to this extraordinary work ✨
