Longford Auction will be relocating by end of August please god. Unfortunately some of our neighbours don't agree with a commercial venture in the countryside and have sought to make apparently onerous complaints to the Local Authority who have written for us to cease the Auction at this location or face legal action as a result of the requests and complaints they have received.
The auction while open did not run on 30th June as people were already made aware it was our last at this location and the evening was wet.
We think this is sad behaviour for those with lots of time on their hands to seek to watch and dictate to others how they should use their ground and is an example of the excess power planning wields over property when same was not actually affecting them. How and ever some people do enjoy that!
We will announce when Leitrim Auction opens and in the meantime thank those who supported us and those who refused to engage with the complainants.
