Granard Community Centre Cheque Presentation to MDI

Thank you to everyone who attended a charity Whist Drive at Granard Community on Sunday 26th July last to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy Ireland (MDI). The event was held in honour of one of their regular players, Anne Byrne from Ardagh, Co Longford, who celebrated her 100 Birthday recently. A great night was had by all who attended and the event raised €500.00 for MDI.

The proceeds from this event were presented to Hubert McCormack from MDI this evening at a cheque presentation in Granard Community Centre. Picture left to right are: Gerard Leavy, Anne Byrne, Hubert McCormack, Paddy Dowd, and Martin Clyons (Chairman, Granard Community Centre). On behalf of Muscular Dystrophy Ireland, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all from Granard Community Centre and surrounding district for organising and supporting this event and raising much needed funds for MDI. Your support is very much appreciated. All funds will go towards MDI’s respite support services.
