The month of May sees the return of local Textile Artist Catherine Hurley. Catherine originally from Belfast who now lives in Macroom has been working on this new collection since the previous display in ‘Art on Main Street’. Catherine’s work is inspired by her local area and she uses natural materials to capture the beauty in her surroundings - be sure to call in and see this beautiful collection.

Maria Healy joins us in ‘Art on Main Street’ for the month of April. This exhibition is called JUST 4. Maria has used just 4 colours for her collection - Grey, Orange, Black and White and has created these fascinating pieces! Price list for all of the collection in photos. For the month of March we have Kieran O Callaghan sharing the studio in ‘Art on Main Street’. Kieran’s work is inspired by his local environment, as he put his 50 years of experience to work, creating some beautiful paintings in his studio in Bean Na Blàth. Call in to see these and some more of Kieran’s collection- open Fridays and Saturdays.

For the month of February, we have Sarah Walsh sharing the studio. Originally from Donegal, Sarah is no stranger to Macroom and had hoped to display a collection she has been working on specifically for ‘Art on Main Street’ however due to an unfortunate injury she recently sustained, her collection now consists of earlier paintings and some recent original lithographs. Call in to see some of these beautiful pieces and we look forward to Sarah returning soon with the finished collection.

It’s a brand new year and I am delighted to share this new piece which I have been working on, ‘Canadian Landscape', it is influenced by the work of Russian Artist, George Cherepov, 1986. This original is an Oil on Board, 76cm x 60cm, that is also framed and available to purchase for €495.
