Delighted to have been invited to attend the Rural Development Programme 2014-2022 Exhibition Launch and Celebration Event in Agriculture House, Dublin.

A great opportunity to acknowledge the support of LEADER and the wider Rural Development Programme, and to highlight how it has helped the development of McCauley Wood Fuels.

Pleased to meet Elisabeth Werner, DG at the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development. A valuable discussion point, given current energy costs, was how indigenous is providing heat users in the agriculture, commercial and industrial sectors in Ireland strong insulation from global energy cost inflation.

Proud to be part of Bank of Ireland’s ongoing commitment to agriculture and sustainability, through its new partnership with Nuffield Ireland.

The support to participate in Wageningen University & Research Lighthouse Farm Academy, adds another layer to the Nuffield scholarship experience and enables learnings from global leaders in agricultural sustainability.

Progressing Ireland’s decarbonisation and renewable heat transition!

A busy and productive month processing about 4,000 tonnes of wood chip since the arrival of our new 435hp Magnum and pairing with our Mus-Max chipper.

Enabling up to 14 GWh of renewable heat; enough to displace roughly 1.3 million litres of heating oil or 1.9 million litres of LPG - To put in perspective, the same monthly heat demand as about 11,500 households or almost 75 % of all occupied homes in Co. Leitrim.

Easy to see why bioenergy remains the largest source of renewable energy across Europe, providing approx. 60% of all renewable energy.
