🌟 Hometown Heroes – Padraic & Kathy Nolan, The Rug Rack Company 🌟

We’re proud to spotlight Padraic and Kathy Nolan, founders of The Rug Rack Company, a Monaghan business gaining strong traction in the equestrian sector.

The concept began as a practical solution to a problem identified their own yard - an innovative, easy-to-use, safer and more efficient system for safely storing and drying horse rugs. Built from real experience, their design quickly resonated with equestrian customers at home and abroad.

Since launching the business has grown rapidly, reaching customers in markets around the world and building a strong reputation for smart, user-focused design.

With support from Local Enterprise Office Monaghan, including the Market Explorer Grant, IP Plus and Priming Grant as well as guidance in exporting and ecommerce, Padraic and Kathy are successfully scaling their business and expanding internationally.

What started out as a family mission to provide fresh, safe food for their son has grown into a thriving artisan business.

Founded in 2019, Mckeown’s Gluten Free Bakery is a family‑run micro‑bakery based in Loughmourne, Co. Monaghan, producing handmade, coeliac‑friendly baked goods now enjoyed by markets and cafés across the region.

A key step in their journey was completing the Start Your Own Business (SYOB) course with Local Enterprise Office Monaghan.
