We’re proud to announce the opening of our new €6 million logistics and storage facility at CJ Sheeran Group headquarters in Mountrath, Co. Laois.
Today, we welcomed Minister of State Niall Collins T.D. to officially mark the completion of the 50,000 sq ft facility, which can store up to 150,000 pallets and will provide dedicated customer storage while expanding our third-party logistics capabilities.
This investment forms part of a wider programme of strategic development at our Mountrath site, including:
• A new automated pallet production line producing more than 10,000 pallets per week
• A new 1.75MW biomass boiler
• Two new high-capacity kilns, with a further two planned
• Continued investment in manufacturing, logistics, engineering and warehousing
The latest development has created 15 additional jobs, bringing our direct workforce to 465, with further employment opportunities expected as the next phases of our investment programme progress.
For us, this investment is about more than infrastructure. It is about building the capacity, skills and sustainable employment needed to support the next stage of CJ Sheeran Group’s growth, while continuing to invest in Co. Laois and the wider Midlands region.
As Ireland’s largest pallet manufacturer and recycler, we are proud of the role timber can play in a genuine circular economy. Through reuse, repair, remanufacturing and recycling, we work to keep a renewable resource in productive use for as long as possible.
A huge thank you to Minister Niall Collins TD, Laois County Council, Forest Industries Ireland and everyone across the CJ Sheeran Group who has contributed to this milestone.
We look forward to building on this investment and continuing to grow sustainably.
