We enjoyed a very tasty takeaway from Mekong, Oliver Plunkett St., Mullingar during the week. Great taste and great value too.

We were in Bloomfield House Hotel last night. Had a few pints and some very tasty bar food. Our waitress was Jenny who looked after the eight of us very well.
I went to the bar counter twice and the barman who served me was super efficient. He made eye contact on both occasions, which is always the sign of a good barman and served up the pints in no time.
Everyone agreed we were looked after very well which made for a very enjoyable night.
Thanks to Jenny and the very efficient barman whose name tag I didn't get to read.

We were in The Arts Centre tonight for the Emmet Cahill
concert. Special guest was Rebecca Winkworth, daughter of Peter and granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Winkworth of Oliver Plunkett St., Mullingar, both sadly now deceased. Marvellous night with a full house, there to support and celebrate wonderful, local talent.
