PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ:

MAY is a very important competition month for Naas and Naas Tidy Towns! 🌺

There are three competitions which affect us.
1. The regular National Tidy Towns competition (850 entries). Naas is near the top! This competition is judged between June and August.

2. ⁠There is an All of Ireland (32 counties) Tidiest Town Competition. Also run by Dep of Enviornment.
Because of our near top position nationally, Naas has been chosen to be one of the 14 towns entered to be judged. (7 in Republic and 7 N Irl) . The judging for this competition takes place during THE MONTH OF MAY only!
We will receive two unannounced visits. One, judge from Northern Ireland and second, judge from the Republic of Ireland.
We need extra cleanups and vigilance on litter. Approach roads, green areas, housing estates are also important in the judging. Hopefully Residents Associations, businesses and individuals can keep their own areas clean and tidy.

3. The third competition is the Irish Business Against Litter! (40 Towns chosen). (Naas was the winner 3 times in the last 4 years!!)
This is judged between January and June, and again between July and December.

It would be wonderful for Naas if we were to perform well in the 2025 competitions!! 🌺

The town is looking spotless! Wonderful work and effort by the Naas community, our volunteers and KCC

Well done to Burkes Pharmacy for installing a defibrillator at their premises on main street Naas. Working with Naas First Responders to deliver this life saving piece of equipment.

Naas Lions are doing their Annual Christmas Appeal in aid of SVP and Naas point in December.

We are collecting in 7 locations across Naas and Sallins.

Thursday 22nd 9-7pm
Friday 23rd- 9-7pm
Saturday 24th-9-2pm

Any help would be much appreciated by groups you are involved with in shaking some buckets during these days. Shifts run for 2 hours. Should anyone wish to volunteer, their time please get them to message me on 086 8461764 with their preferred date and time for collecting. Thank you- Martina 😊

We are delighted that Féile na Sollán is back this year. The event takes place next weekend: 26 -> 28 August in Sallins!

We also have a variety of imeachtaí trí Ghaeilge such as Disco Bingo, a Magic Show, Treasure Hunt, Storytelling with JulieAnn de Brún, a workshop for learning those viral TikTok dances and many more!
