Behind the scenes at the QME workshop, where heavy underground and surface fleet gets brought back to full operational readiness.

Our technicians work through every stage of the rebuild process: engine block servicing, hydraulic line inspection, and full engine compartment access on units of serious scale. Technical manuals on hand, overhead crane support for component handling, and the precision you'd expect when machines this size are going back to work.

BEFORE | REBUILT | READY TO ROLL

This Sandvik LH517 underground loader came into our workshop worn, rusted, and run down after years on site. It's leaving fully stripped, rebuilt, and repainted, ready for another full service life.

Scope of work included:
→ Complete teardown and inspection
→ Cab, engine bay, and cooling system overhaul
→ Full repaint and interior controls refresh
→ Reassembly and quality testing

Once it passed final checks, the LH517 was loaded for delivery and sent out to its next job. This is the same in-house rebuild capability we apply across every unit that comes through our workshop, powertrain, hydraulics, electrical, and diesel engine work, all done under one roof.

Freshly serviced, repainted, and fitted with new tyres, this Sandvik LH514 is heading straight back to work.

This unit rolled out of the QME workshop today, bound for the Flintridge project in Northern Ireland. Full repaint, new tyres, and a complete service turnaround. Another underground loader back on the road, ready to perform where it matters most.
