🔹 €5 billion capital investment earmarked for housing delivery in 2026
🔹 €200 million in external funding via Home Building Finance Ireland to accelerate construction
🔹 VAT reduction on the sale of completed apartments — dropping from 13.5% to 9% (effective 8 Oct 2024 to 31 Dec 2030)
🔹 Tax incentives to encourage development and rental supply:
Corporation tax exemption for rental income from Cost Rental Scheme homes
Enhanced tax deductions for apartment construction and conversions
🔹 New Derelict Property Tax to replace the Derelict Sites Levy
🔹 Stamp Duty Refund Scheme improvements for residential developments
🔹 Extended income tax relief for small landlords retrofitting properties (now available for another 3 years)

🚊 Project Visit – Adelaide Tram Grade Separation Project 🚊

The Tram Grade Separation Projects Alliance (comprising of CPB Contractors, McConnell Dowell, Mott MacDonald, Arup, Aurecon and the Department for Infrastructure and Transport) is continuing construction on Adelaide’s Tram Grade Separation Projects, to reduce congestion and improve safety.

NexVentur's Recruitment Manager, Alan Daly, had the opportunity to visit the Tram Grade Separation Project sites in Adelaide, where we currently have several contractors working across the three sites: Marion Road and Cross Road, Morphett Road, and South Road. It was a great opportunity for Alan to meet the delivery managers and some of our team onsite.

A big thank you to Jaya and Sahrrah for making the visit happen. We’re excited to see this project come together and proud that NexVentur is contributing.

🚧 New Blog: Women in Construction – Traffic Control Jobs as a Stepping Stone

When Ava Prenty and Tory O’Connor reached out to us for temporary work, they hadn’t worked in construction before. But with a friend’s recommendation and a bit of curiosity, they took the first step—getting their Safe Pass and manual handling certificates.
