KDM Homes is hiring an experienced Groundworker to join our construction team in Sligo.

We’re looking for a reliable and skilled candidate with at least 4 years’ experience in construction or groundworks, who can work confidently both independently and as part of a wider site team.

The role will involve:
• General groundworks
• Kerbing and concrete footpaths
• Ducting and drainage
• Following site instructions and maintaining high-quality work
• Working safely and efficiently on site

Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years’ construction/groundworks experience
• Valid Safe Pass
• Valid Manual Handling Certificate
• Good communication skills
• Right to work in Ireland

🕐 Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts

Important Update for CAI Members in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland

Saorview has notified the CAI of the planned cessation of the Saorsat satellite service in early 2028.

The satellite currently used to provide Saorsat is expected to reach the end of its operational life in 2028 and will not be replaced. As a result, Saorsat will need to be discontinued.

Saorview recommends that no further Saorsat installations are carried out from now on.

Existing Saorsat users will be informed through the Saorsat and Saorview websites, with on-screen messages also planned as the closure approaches.
RTÉ, TG4 and Oireachtas TV will continue to be available through Saorview and other broadcast TV platforms, as well as online.

CAI members working with customers who currently rely on Saorsat should take note of this planned change.

We're delighted to share the good news that Ging's Public House is reopening its doors this Saturday, 5th September, at 4pm.

It's been a long road with a lot of ups and downs, but we think it's been worth it. It's still Ging's, but with a new old-world, cozy look.

Everything has been salvaged from old timber, the original stone walls, and some beautiful old signs and memorabilia.

We'd like to thank everyone for their support over the past few years and for always asking about Gings. It is very much appreciated.

We're really looking forward to welcoming back familiar faces from the past, and new ones too.
