Be aware if you get a phonecall from someone claiming to be from Revenue asking for your PPS number or address.

It has come to the notice of the Revenue Commissioners that a caller (reported to have a non-Irish accent) purporting to be a Revenue official has been contacting businesses seeking PPSN numbers or addresses of named taxpayers.

Revenue have issued a leaflet explaining the new 9% VAT rate from Friday (1st July). If you provide a service or product for which the new rate applies, I would recommend that you read it.

A second reduced VAT rate of 9% applies in respect of certain goods and services for the period 1 July 2011 to 31 December 2013.

Do you have your holiday booked but would love to have extra money to spend on them??? Check if you have unclaimed tax credits like medical expenses, waste charges, tuition fees, donations and you may be due a tax refund. You may be surprised with the amount of tax you are due back!!!!
