We know our colleagues are special, but our very own Lisa Byrne, OCS Cleaning just happens to be the Heart and Soul of Dublin's Liberty Soup Run!
Born and raised in the Liberties, Lisa has deep roots in the heart of Dublin. But she's not just a local - she's a true hometown hero. By day, Lisa works tirelessly as part of the OCS cleaning division at the iconic Guinness Storehouse. But when her OCS commitments are completed, her extraordinary story begins.
Lisa, alongside her husband Christopher O’Reilly, co-founded the incredible Liberty Soup Run in 2019. Their mission? To help their local community in Dublin, specifically the homeless and families transitioning out of homelessness in the Liberties, Dublin 8.
What started as a simple table with a few sandwiches and biscuits has EXPLODED into a city-wide operation! Lisa, Christopher, and a team of over 30 dedicated volunteers work 7 days a week, providing support services, food, clothing, toiletries, and more to those who need it most. 🤲
Every Thursday, you can find Lisa and her family at the Liberty Soup Run stall on Thomas Street, where they distribute food parcels, hot drinks, and essential items to Dublin's homeless community. Pictured below is Daire Leonard, OCS Marketing Manager with Lisa and her husband Christopher and daughter Eve, along with some of their incredible volunteers.
The group also have a Walking Outreach Team visiting those who cannot make the trip to Thomas St and the Liberty Soup Run van is out on the streets of Dublin every evening offering the same supports.
Lisa is an embodiment of our True Values, Trust, Respect, Unity and Empowerment. She is proof that even in the busiest of lives, there's always time to make a difference. 🌟 Let's show some love for Lisa and all the amazing volunteers at Liberty Soup Run! ❤️
