Dakar 2026 B737-800 Special Livery — From Shannon to Casablanca
Aviation Graphix is delighted to share the successful completion of a striking Dakar 2026 special livery for a Boeing 737-800, recently manufactured at our facility in Shannon, Ireland and installed in Casablanca, Morocco.
Delivered in collaboration with our long-term partners the project brought together the complementary capabilities of both companies to deliver a complex aircraft branding programme within an exceptionally tight timeframe.
Aviation Graphix was responsible for the complete manufacture of the aircraft graphics package, produced at our EASA Part 21G approved production facility in Shannon.
The extensive livery covers a significant section of the aircraft’s rear fuselage and incorporates a graduated green colour transition, intricate African-inspired background artwork, Dakar 2026 branding and the distinctive Youth Olympic Games mascot.
Preparing a design of this scale for an aircraft involves considerably more than simply printing graphics. The artwork was carefully prepared and panelled to accommodate the geometry of the B737-800 fuselage, with particular attention given to maintaining accurate alignment and continuity of the detailed design across individual graphic sections and aircraft features.
Following production, finishing and preparation in Shannon, the complete graphics package was shipped to Casablanca, where the next phase of the project began.
Working alongside our long-term service partners at LXM, Aviation Graphix deployed four specialist aircraft graphics installers, forming part of the combined six-person installation team.
With aircraft downtime at a premium, the team successfully completed the installation in a fast three-day turnaround.
The finished aircraft is a result we’re particularly proud of. The project demonstrates the complete capability Aviation Graphix can offer — from large-format aircraft graphic manufacture and EASA Part 21G production through to specialist installation support anywhere in the world.
It also highlights the value of the long-standing relationship between Aviation Graphix and LXM, combining experience, resources and expertise to respond to demanding aircraft projects and tight operational schedules.
A huge thank you to the teams at Aviation Graphix and LXM, and to everyone in Casablanca who contributed to delivering another successful project.
