Perseverance
This is one trait you must possess when on the job hunt. It's a difficult market, very tough and very grueling, but how you overcome the 'I regret to inform you', 'sorry you're unsuccessful' emails is what will make the difference.
1. Set yourself achievable goals each week. Send 2 or 3 (maybe even 1) really good application(s) to jobs you are qualified for rather than 50+ applications to roles you're likely not be selected for.
2. Allow yourself to reflect. Ask for feedback from recruiters / employers, especially after an interview, to help you with your next application.
3. Do your best. Job hunting can be exhausting but all anyone can do is their best. Burnout can happen so remember that if you don't achieve your goal this week, you will do much better next week.
4. Take a break. If you need to step away for a day, do (especially if you're staring at the same application). Recharge and tackle your goal tomorrow with a fresh perspective.
5. Look at the positive experiences and what you've learned. Change how you reply to certain answers in an interview or how you frame your experience in your CV. While it may not feel like it, all the hard work you are doing is a learning curve.
You got this!
