My mother, Eithne, loved singing and and playing piano/organ.

After the Tarbert Comp winning the All-Ireland football final and the Dr Eamonn O’Sullivan Cup for the first time in their history yesterday, I know she will be belting out the Rose of Tralee in a big celestial gathering for Mother's Day, 2024.

My last outing with my Dad was that warm, sunny sultry Sunday afternoon,

On December 12 1986 he passed away unexpectedly, 37 years ago today,

A quiet and unassuming man that loved his family and the little things in life,

Never slow to voice his disapproval if he thought you had crossed the line.

Earlier this year a letter from his Dad, my grandfather came to light in that

It gave a clear line of sight into our very own intergenerational trauma story.
