Hello — Opening doors to people, stories and opportunities.
For many years, I have been involved in business and entrepreneurship, building and developing a successful family business and experiencing first-hand the challenges, opportunities and rewards that come with creating something of your own.
My journey has never been about standing still.
Alongside my business career, I became an author, writing Survive and Thrive: The Journey of a Lifetime. That experience opened a completely new chapter in my life, leading to public speaking, women-in-business events, workshops and opportunities to share what I have learned with others.
Today, one of the things I am most passionate about is encouraging people to recognise their own potential — particularly those who may have an idea, an ambition or a dream but haven't yet had the confidence to open that next door.
Over the years, I have learned that success isn't simply about business or financial achievement. It's about resilience, relationships, taking opportunities, learning from setbacks and having the courage to reinvent yourself at every stage of life.
And that is exactly why I created this podcast.
On Open Door with Breeda, I’ll meet people from business, entrepreneurship, property, community life and many other walks of life. I want to discover the person behind the success — where they started, what challenged them, what they learned and what helped them move forward.
Most importantly, I want these conversations to leave you with something — an idea, a piece of advice, a little inspiration or perhaps the confidence to open a new door of your own.
Because I believe opportunities can come at any stage of life.
Sometimes, all we have to do is be brave enough to open the door.
