We were honoured to launch the new tourism destination brand Explore Fingal on 23rd February — the start of an exciting new marketing strategy for the region.
Led by Fingal County Council and AnnMarie Farrelly, the new brand marks an important milestone in the Fingal Tourism Strategy 2024–2029. Following the launch, a county-wide roadshow brought the team together with tourism groups, local businesses and community volunteers and it’s been fantastic to see the enthusiasm building around Explore Fingal.
It was a pleasure collaborating with John Quinlivan, Declan Power and the Tourism & Communications team on the development of the brand and its assets. The launch kicks off a comprehensive marketing plan positioning Fingal as a vibrant cultural, coastal and culinary destination — where coast, countryside and character meet.
A big thank you to Rocky and the team at DesignWorks Ireland, and the wider Fingal team for bringing the brand vision to life. Special thanks also to Heather Gilroy, Artist in Residence at Ardgillan Castle, whose bespoke illustrations beautifully capture the personality of the brand.
The launch event was brilliantly hosted by Fingal native Simon Delaney, with an inspiring keynote from Catherine Flanagan. Thank you to AnnMarie Farrelly, Mayor Cllr. O’Leary, panelists Paul Keeley, Failte Ireland and Aidan Power Tourism Ireland for their insights, and to the Grand Hotel and Chef Sean McDonnell for showcasing incredible local produce and celebrating the Fingal Food Circle.
A sincere thank you to the Brouder Marketing implementation team (Tom Brouder, Samantha Keeling, Blaithin Sweeney and Lesley Emerson) for their dedication in supporting the launch and the ongoing rollout of the brand, marketing campaigns and wider tourism framework.
We’re excited to continue working with Declan Power and his team (Ciaran Staunton, Duncan Henderson, Roisin White, Joanne Daly, Emma O’Kelly), the Fingal Events Team, Fáilte Ireland, tourism partners, local businesses and community groups as Explore Fingal grows and invites visitors to discover everything Fingal has to offer.
