Fact of the week

Holiday Rights in Irish Law for Employees out on Sick Leave.
If an employee is absent on “certified sick leave”, then under Section 19 (1A) of the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997, the employee continues to accrue annual leave. The important thing here is that it is "certified" by a medical practitioner (GP) and not by your Granny that lives next door!
